Story
On the 20th August, Evie and I will be running the Reykjavik marathon in Iceland in support of Blood Cancer UK. Blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK (40,000 diagnosed every year) and the most prevalent type of cancer amongst children. We are passionate to do our bit to help those affected, and therefore any money raised will go towards funding world-class research alongside providing access to vital support.
Even though both of us have grown up playing ball sports, 42km is very much uncharted territory - as our respective Strava accounts will show. There is no doubt this will be a great physical and mental challenge for us, however we know neither of us will let the other stop running so we are very much in this together.
After a busy few months juggling CFA exams, netball, work and MA law we’ve got 6-weeks of training to work with (if anyone has any tips for a 6-week training plan please send them our way).
We would both be so grateful for any support as all donations will help us get over the finish line!

Blood Cancer UK:
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
