Despite it being a major part of my life for the past few years, my eating disorder has always been something I have struggled to talk about. After 18 months of counselling, I am happy&healthy. I cannot stress enough how all consuming life with an eating disorder can be; it’s like constantly being at war with yourself. 

So, for eating disorder awareness week, I am doing a skydive to raise money for Beat, a charity that helps people with eating disorders and their loved ones. Eating disorders are hidden diseases that contain some of the highest mortality rates of all mental disorders. Beats helpline offers support and information to people with eating disorders and their families. 

I wouldn’t be here today without some of my closest friends and family, as well as services offered on the NHS.
