Our lovely dad Luke Remnant has had ME for ten years and we desperately want him to get well so he can live a normal life again and do all the things with us that he wants to so much.

During ME Awareness week we are going to try and swim a mile together as a relay team and may get our Grannie to help too!

Izzy 14 - I’m doing this swim because I want my dad to get well again because I miss doing the things I love with him. Please sponsor us as it would be amazing and would change our lives because even though we speak to him everyday we are only able to see him once a week as he is so poorly.

Chloe 12 - By doing this swim we are hoping to raise money for research into ME. I love my dad and miss not being able to spend as much time with him. Hopefully this will also help other families in similar situations. My dad is amazing as he is fighting ME every single day and doesn’t complain once, he is a true hero and that’s why I love him. 

Ruby 10 - I am going to try to swim as far as I can for my daddy, because, I love him, and I want him to get well so I can spend more time with him. My daddy is wonderful, kind, caring and makes me very happy. So I really hope you will sponsor us. Thank you. 

Invest in ME Research is an independent UK charity finding, funding and facilitating a strategy of biomedical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME or ME/CFS).The charity is run by volunteers - patients or parents of children with ME - with no paid staff.Overheads are kept to a minimum and all funds raised to go to promoting education of, and funding for biomedical research into, ME.Our efforts are focused on setting up a UK Centre of Excellence for ME which will provide proper examinations, diagnosis and in time treatment(s)/cure(s).
