Hello!

My name is Izzy and I am raising money for Hospice in the Weald in memory of my wonderful great uncle Ian who was in their care for the last few weeks of his life. Ian sadly was diagnosed with CJD, an extremely rare and degenerative brain disease that caused the proteins in his brain to abnormally misfold and cause his brain to ultimately shut down. This disease has no cause and no real understanding as to why it happens, but one thing we do know is that is took our lovely Ian away from us in such an incredibly cruel way. 

I will be raising money and running the London marathon in memory of Ian and to give back to Hospice in the Weald after they helped not only Ian, but the entire family when we were going through this immense loss. The endless amount of kindness and patience they showed us was incredible and this local charity deserves the absolute world for what they did and continue to do today!
