Story
Thanks for visiting this Page.
My father died recently from complications due to a weakened heart. He was diagnosed with Familial Hypercholesterolemia in the late 70s and subsequently suffered heart attacks in his mid 40s, these inturn caused many issues later on in life and eventually caused him to have a stroke and develop Vascular Dementia.
Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a genetic disorder effecting 1 in 1000 people and now, thanks to the BHF, is entirely treatable.
With FH being genetic 2 of his 3 children have been affected by FH and it's possible his Grandchildren also carry the gene.
We believe that the ongoing work of the BHF will help sufferers of FH now and in the future and would therefore like to donate in Memory of Dad.
We have decided, as a family, to ask anyone wanting to send cards or flowers to the funeral to instead make a donation using this webpage.
We thank you all,
Love...
