Insurance United Against Dementia - Step Up for Dementia, raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Story

I have taken up the challenge of walking 10,000 steps a day for 30 days to raise money for a cause close to my heart as part of the Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society as both my mother and my mother in law died from dementia.

My challenged started last Saturday, 26 September when I walked 28,000, followed by 19,000 on Sunday whilst walking on the South Coast.

The past few months have been tough for everyone, but coronavirus has hit people affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives. So I am alongside my colleagues across the insurance industry to walk 10,000 steps a day. Please donate to support me and ensure Alzheimer's Society can be there for the people who need them most. Far too many people, for far too long, have had no option but to face dementia alone. Just £95 supports the funding of a telephone-based Dementia Adviser for one day. Dementia Advisers are experts at
providing information, offering guidance and directly supporting people
affected by dementia and can act as a lifeline. Thank you for helping me make a real difference!  Every penny will push me to reach my 300,000 steps.

Thank you for helping me make a real difference!
