Story
This year, It's Game On with Sport Relief - and every pound counts. I've created this page because I want to make a difference and help take on poverty and injustice.
The Homewood PE department and Sports Leaders want to make a huge difference this year. We took part in Sport Relief in 2018 with the hope of raising £350 for charity. We smashed our target out of the park and managed to raise (with additional money outside of this page) approximately £2000! The students were so proud of themselves and were able to see what a huge difference their fundraising would make to people in the UK and across the world.
This year we are organising more events and hope to get as many people involved in the fun as possible!
These are just a few of the events the students will be involved in throughout Sport Relief week (9-13th March).
1. Taking part in a 24 hour overnight cyclothon at Homewood
2. Visiting the local primaries for Sport Relief activities!
3. Sports-themed fancy dress for all staff
4. A non-uniform day for all students
5. Cake sales, live music at lunchtime and face painting
6. A Sport Relief Quiz Night with live music, bar and a silent auction
7. Staff charity netball and football tournaments
8. Running Sport Relief workshops with students
I've been inspired by Comic Relief's work with amazing projects in the UK and across the world that are tackling inequality and changing lives. Sponsor this page by making a donation and help support people living incredibly tough lives here in the UK and around the world.
