This will be our 3rd time over the obstacles on the Bowel Cancer West 5k Obstacle Challenge course. We've supported this event since its creation, as the founder of the charity was also the surgeon who operated on and looked after our dear friend, loved one and colleague Emma when she was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Last year, we lost Emma following a a sudden, short but brave battle against a brain tumour. Our lives were all turned upside down. The timing of this years challenge is very poignant; the day before her birthday. We will attack those obstacles, and smile and laugh - and maybe even cry, as we remember all of the years and all of the challenges we have all faced before, with Emma by our side.
