On a cold wet January 1st earlier this year, I sat down with my daughter (poppy) to write a silly little song about our doggy (oscar), a few minutes later we had come up with a verse and a chorus, and with the Christmas tree and decorations still up, it had a hint of the festive season too. After performing it ...with a dance, in front of the toughest judge on the planet! (mummy), she gave us the go ahead to continue further, and so the song "Oscar the doggy" was born. Sometime in June, poppy and I went to the studio to record it, which is the version you can listen to now, with our rock juices flowing, we needed to get our bands together! So I pulled 3 old codgers out of retirement to reform pumpcar! whilst poppy set about forming her much younger rockers! soon to be know as "unicorn style" awesome dude!! And after a bunch of crazy late night sessions in the studio! The sound engineer (rich) worked a ruddy Christmas miracle!! And so you have.... "ITS CHRISTMAS!" Hope you enjoy.
