Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I haven't done one of these since I ran London in 2008, and now the old knees aren't what they used to be, I'm taking on cycling challenges instead.

In September I'm going to be cycling from Pisa to Ancona in Italy.  Right through Tuscany, 60 miles a day for 4 days with roughly 6,000 ft of ascent each day.  I wanted to put my efforts to good use, so I'm fundraising for Evie's Everest.

Adam is a friend and colleague of mine. He's a great chap, thoughtful, considerate and someone that you would always want on your team. He and his wife Rachel have a beautiful daughter called Evie.  Evie has Global Development Delay as a result of a rare brain condition which means that every day for Evie is like climbing a mountain – the day to day activities that most people take for granted have not come easy. Walking, communicating, and feeding herself are all daily challenges that require help and support.

Evie’s Everest appeal is raising funds to support her on-going additional needs. Current priority is to provide Evie with Intensive and on-going therapies at a cost of c. £5.5k per 3 week treatment or £70-90 per hour. So every £1 donated will make a real difference to Evie's life.

You can read more about Evie’s Appeal on this dedicated website:

Thanks for taking a look and if you can spare a few pounds, that would be brilliant.

Cheers, Mike
