Story
7 weeks ago i was in the Golden Jubilee Hospital getting open heart surgery to fix my dodgy artery plumbing. Thanks to my previous fitness I was able to be discharged and go home within 3 days. Coronavirus has hit the UK hard so i am lucky to have had my operation when i did. I feel fine but i dont know for sure as all my follow up appointments have been cancelled. The NHS are now in despite need of our support. My way of doing this is to have an attempt at Mark Cockbain's Isolation ultra.
Marks rules as always are simple:
The attempt has to be made before the end of April 2020
Maximum loop 100 metres at your home.
Non stop (not staged). 1 hour rest stop max.
****BE HONEST****
Picture of route must be posted.
Results Strava etc must be posted/verified.
UK/Ireland only.
The furthest i have run in over a year is 8 miles. I need to do 27 miles to be an ultra. My route is 100 meters, that will be just over 16 laps per mile.
All you have to do is donate
Planned date is Friday 17th April 2020 I will be posting updates to Cockbain Events facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/226905680721644/
