Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We've been running a weekly online virtual pub quiz to raise everyone's spirits in the absence of our normal cycling club events. We've had some fun so far but it would be nice to make it count and raise some money for a good cause for a nominal fee and we'd love you to join us. It's a proper quiz and not all the questions are about cycling!

Bikes are brilliant. We all know that. But in the hands of a refugee, a bike becomes a freedom machine, helping them access essential services such as food banks, schools and colleges, healthcare clinics and legal advice centres. Having a bike can mean a young person doesn't have to choose between eating a square meal and catching the bus to go to college.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We're asking for a minimum donation of £2.00. If funds are tight though currently please don't let that stop you taking part.

Your link to join the quiz as well as the livestream will be in your confirmation email from Just Giving. Any problems please just email comms@islington.cc

If you're a UK taxpayer don't forget to check the gift aid boxes as it ultimately means more money for a good cause.

We hope you enjoy the quiz!

We refurbish second-hand bikes and donate them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. With some refugees surviving on as little as £8.86 per week, a bike serves as a vital tool to access essentials like food, healthcare and legal advice, build confidence and form part of a community.
