Elmo came in to our care just 6 weeks ago but has already left his paw prints on our hearts. 

Tests have confirmed that Elmo is in the early stages of kidney failure. We were worried that the outlook was very bleak for poor Elmo but we didn't want to give up on him, he is only 9 years old.

We sent him for a scan on his kidneys which luckily showed no tumours present, there was still hope for our lovely boy yet. He is still enjoying life and although it is uncertain how long he has left, he could go on for years. He loves cuddling up on your lap and always has purrs to give. We still hope we can find a home for him.

Elmo is now on medication which he will have to take for the rest of his life to help manage his kidneys. As you can imagine, his tests, on-going medication and scan have left us with a very large vet bill...

We really felt that Elmo deserved a chance at life.
