Story
As part of the Islandbridge giving back series, the team are embarking on a “Power Hour” at 4pm Friday, raising money to keep City Harvest vehicles on the road for as many hours as we can.
Team members will be partaking in a wide range of lockdown safe activities with the idea being to achieve as much as possible in an hour including; running, walking, cycling, interval training, triathlon, boxing and gymnastics.
City Harvest help to reduce waste and deliver meals to vulnerable groups, and those that otherwise would go without a meal, including recently for the NHS workers who are on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19. These often-overlooked groups will be struggling immensely since the lockdown began, where getting access to meals will be an even greater hurdle to overcome. City Harvest have been instrumental in assisting the vulnerable having delivered 600,000 meals to these groups, and every donation, large or small makes a difference:
Each £ donated will help the keep the vans on the road for 12 minutes or deliver 4 meals
