Story
My name is Isabella. Over the past few years I have struggled with my mental health. Something that really helps me is my passion for swimming, when I dive into water I feel calmer and more in control. On my bad days when I’m feeling particularly low and anxious , swimming helps me take my mind off all my struggles. Since lockdown I have found it hard not being able to swim. Before we went into lockdown I never really ran, but I have begun running about 12km a week. I want to challenge myself out of my comfort zone and raise money to support others to receive the help they need. I’ve decided to run 8km a day for the next 14 days. I decided to do this mainly as many people struggle from mental health and I want people to know that they are not alone, discovering something you love can completely change the mindset. For me , this will help me to take my mind off my worries and focus on doing something I enjoy.
