We fund PKD research and give help to transform lives

Story

I was born on 4th February 2013. I spent the first week of my life in intensive care and after tests we found out I have Polycystic Kidney Disease. This means I have cysts on my kidneys and at some point in my life I could have kidney failure, resulting in a transplant or dialysis. When Mummy was expecting me, we found out that Daddy has the condition too.

We are raising awareness and money for PKD in the hope that research will find a treatment or cure to help people like me!

Our first event was a Quiz and raffle in November 2013 and we raised £2020

Our second Quiz night is on 18th April 2015. Please see the link below for details. https://www.facebook.com/events/1497037113897727/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming

PKD is the only charity in the UK dedicated to the concerns of people with PKD.

They aim:

  • To support PKD patients, their families and carers, with information and advice, help and understanding
  • To fund research into determining the causes of PKD, discovering treatments and a cure
  • To raise awareness of PKD, providing information about PKD to patients, the public, the medical community and the media
