The CareTech Foundation is a great charity that supports and champion the social care sector, care workers and those living in care.

The four of us are keen cyclists but, let's face it, are no spring chickens!  So, what better way to deny the very obvious advancing of the years, we thought, than to take on our biggest ever cycling challenge for this great cause?

We will therefore spend a day taking on the infamous Dragon Ride (www.dragonride.co.uk)!  The Dragon Ride is one of the oldest and most iconic cycling sportives in the UK.  Riders tackle epic climbs through the stunning Welsh scenery of the Brecon Beacons.

• Marcus is hoping to tackle the, simply scary, Dragon Devil ride - with 4614m of ascent and the distance coming in at a monstrous 296km!
• Jonathan, Irvin and Matt will be taking on the, still very silly, Gran Fondo ride - coming in at 213km with just under 3500m of ascent!
