Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. We work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.

Story

The Carers Trust helps the people that help other people. The 'big society' is nothing new and has always been out there, they're just too busy making a difference to make a noise about it. You can find out more about their work here: http://www.carers.org/.

This is the first of my Iron Ore Man events. I'd like to think I have a good chance of getting around, but it is still a long way and by far the biggest ride I will have ever done.

It is a challenging course with lots of punishing hills all the way around. I hope my shiny new wheels and skinny tyres give me a little edge.
