Story

Dear all,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dip deep and sponsor me online.

I have decided to take part in the UK Ironman.  On the 2nd of August I will be swimming 2.4 miles, cycling 112 miles and then running a marathon (26.2 miles).

Why?..

Unfortunately, back in 2006, my father suffered from a severe stroke.  I had always wanted to run the London Marathon for the Stroke Association but, in the end, I decided to support the UK's largest hearing charity (see below).

Now, 3 years on, older and wiser?.. :) I thought it would be a good idea and try to do something a little longer...

Your support for me and more importantly this brilliant charity, would be forever appreciated and any amount a great help.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

You can help by spending a few minutes registering with 'justgiving' and making a donation - it's much easier than running.

Many thanks for your kind support for me and the many people affected by stroke.

John
