Story
In March of 2020, my Dad lost his battle with Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). PSP is an “atypical parkinsonism” syndrome. It is a brain disease that can cause changes to speech, balance, walking, swallowing, vision, cognition and autonomic functioning that worsen over time. It is truly a terrible disease to watch someone suffer through. It also puts a lot of strain on the family/caretakers.
The London Marathon is on April 23, 2023, my Dad's birthday. I was supposed to run the 2022 race, but unfortunately got COVID and was unable to run. I signed up for the 2023 race and when I realized it was on his birthday, I knew raising money for CurePSP would be the perfect way to honor his memory.
Any support is appreciated.
