Thanks for taking the time to visit Irk Valley Community School's War Child JustGiving page.

The school council want to raise money for children affected by war and conflict. War Child works in five countries: Iraq, Yemen, Central African Republic, Afghanistan and Democratic Republic of Congo as well as those currently affected in Ukraine.

The school council have chosen two events to fundraise!

Event 1: Toy Day on Friday 25^th March - £1.00 donation

Every child can bring in a favourite toy (something special to them) to play with in the afternoon. This way we can celebrate childhood. 

Event 2: Peace Band Sponsored Walk on Friday 1^st April 

This will be a sponsored walk in school grounds. Every child will walk a mile (half a mile for younger children). We are going the distance, so children living in warzones don't have to. How many miles can we walk in a day? 

If you would like to sponsor us and help raise money for War Child, the Government will match pound for pound. Check out the peace band page on War Child's website.
