Our friend and colleague, Andrew Herbert, has recently been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) at the age of 51. In true Andrew style he will not be beaten and is committed to raising awareness about MND and to help others. Over the years Andrew has been an inspiration for many of us to go out, be more active and live a healthy life. His love of outdoor activities, and especially cycling, is incredible! This is how Miles for MND was born.

MND is a rare, life shortening condition that can impact anyone at any age, but is more common in the over 50s. It affects those motor neurone cells in the brain and spinal cord that control movement, speaking, swallowing and breathing - things rest of us do instinctively.

There is currently no cure for MND. The Motor Neurone Disease Association are funding research, improving care and providing support for those living with or affected by MND. As we are embarking on this challenge together, we are supporting the MND Association. Will you join us?

From 5th to 11th September, we will be showing our support by undertaking various challenges and activities. Novuna colleagues and friends of Andrew have committed to cover 20,051 miles (32,082 km) in one week. 

Our team is pledging 525 of the total miles and to raise £4,000 which will fund a person with MND to participate in a clinical trial for a year, bringing us closer to a cure.

Together we can make a real difference. Our employer Novuna will be generously matching every donation pound for pound, helping us reach our goal sooner!
