Story
Morrisons oldest colleague, Irene is one of Marie Curie’s wonderful fundraisers. She’s been fundraising for 36 years and has spent 25 of those raising funds at Morrisons Solihull store. Despite going through multiple cancer operations and a full hip replacement herself, at 92 years old she’s dedicated so much to raising funds for Marie Curie.
Usually, in March Irene would be out collecting alongside other collectors for Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal, however this year due to the pandemic, Irene isn't able to collect. Even though Irene can't be out with her bucket and iconic yellow hat this year, Irene still wants to raise as much as she can for Marie Curie and you can donate directly to Irene's fundraising this year through JustGiving.

£1 puts a pen torch in the pocket of a Marie Curie Nurse or doctor, so they can do vital examinations of the people in their care.
£3 pays for heating one of our hospices for an hour, meaning the patients and their families feel warm and comfortable, even on the nippiest of days.
£5 pays for a glass of wine and a nourishing meal for a patient at one of our hospices because enjoying a favourite tipple brings a smile to peoples faces and is a treat many look forward to.
£16 is enough to sponsor a bed for an hour in one of Marie Curie's 9 Hospices across the UK meaning someone living with a terminal illness can get expert care when they need it most
Just £20 is enough to fund an hour of expert care from a Marie Curie Nurse so someone with a terminal illness can get the support they need in the comfort of their own home.
£32 pays for a call to the Marie Curie Support Line, meaning someone in need can pick up the phone and receive practical information and emotional support
