Story
I'm going to be a part of the IP Global team entering the Ride Across Britain 2014 in support of IP Global Charity of the Year ShelterBox.
Taking place over nine days this September, this gruelling challenge will take our team the full length of Britain, travelling 969 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats. We'll climb 15,000m along the way – that's the equivalent of scaling Snowden 14 times, or more than 27 times up Hong Kong's Victoria Peak.
Why am I doing this? ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world who have been overwhelmed by natural disasters and other humanitarian crises. To date, they’ve responded to over 230 emergency situations in nearly 90 countries, coming to the aid of well over a million people.
I'd appreciate any support you can give in helping us raise much needed funds for this very worthy global cause – we want to make sure their efforts can reach even more families in need. Any donation, big or small, will go a long way to providing vital support for families in need, including the following:
GBP55 covers blankets and groundsheets – providing warmth and protection
GBP230 covers a relief tent – providing shelter for families
GBP590 covers a complete ShelterBox – offering a family a fresh start by giving them all the equipment they need to start rebuilding their lives
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. That makes it the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity you're supporting.
