Story
On Saturday 18th September I walked the Great Hospital Hike in support of King's College Hospital Charity. 17 miles! Great day to be out with 440 other walkers - including patients and staff of King's College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital.
My husband Chris and I are raising money for some great projects at these Hospitals and related sites.. Thanks to the generosity of donors we've raised what we need for a Parkinsons choir, a great example of one of the projects a the Hospitals. Your donations can go into a general charity pot to fund wonderful work such as the King's Volunteer Service, and day rooms on patient wards across the Hospital sites.
We are remembering my lovely mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hart, who succumbed to Motor Neurone Disease. We also remember Venetia Okell, one of the Joy family grandmothers, who lived with Parkinson's for many years and was a great musician.
