Story
Mike Foley passed away in August 2016 after suffering from leukaemia. Mike worked at Aberystwyth University teaching Politics and International Politics from 1974. He was a hugely respected researcher, committed teacher and supportive mentor; he also had a distinguished record of service and leadership in the Department and University. (There is an official University tribute here: https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/interpol/news-and-events/news/title-188087-en.html). Mike was also a much-loved husband, father and grandfather. He is greatly missed.
A group of Mike's colleagues from the Department of International Politics - together with members of his family - will be running the Aberystwyth 10K in December 2016 in memory of Mike and to raise money for the leukaemia research charity Bloodwise.
