Inter Plymouth - 2017km Run for Charity

Inter Plymouth 2017km Run for Charity · 4 November 2020
As we go back into lockdown, Inter Plymouth wanted to do our part to help those in need. With no training, we have challenged our players to run and walk a combined 2017km in the 4 weeks of lockdown to raise money for charity. As 2017 is the year we were established. 2017 kilometres between the 15-20 Inter Plymouth players is at least 100 kilometres each so will be a challenge for all the players to take on. We will be posting updates to our goal on our social media and in the updates section below so be sure to come back and see if we hit our goal.
The charity we have chosen to support is Refuge. With lockdown back and more people stuck inside, domestic violence cases will increase just like they did during the first lockdown and now more than ever Refuge need our support.
One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime and two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner. Refuge supports around 6,000 women & children on any given day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence. By kindly sponsoring Inter Plymouth today you are helping to save and change the lives of thousands of women and children escaping domestic violence.
