A race to beat cancer
On 12 July 2009 staff from King’s College London, Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College hospitals are running the British 10k in support of the Integrated Cancer Centre – a new joint initiative to fight cancer.
About us
We are:
Jude Alldred, Aysha Awan,
Rachael Corver, Ian Creagh, Catherine Dale, Jonathan Gill,
James Hoare, David Jones
, Hugo Middlemas,
Kate Moore, Teresa Pacheca Palomar, João Silva, Andrew Schuster, Kungwa Small and Cliff Tapp.
We all have different reasons for wanting to run to raise money to improve cancer research and care– for some of us it’s because we have been personally affected and for others it is because working with the doctors, nurses and scientists at the Integrated Cancer Centre has convinced us that this project is something really special. For more about the Cancer Centre click here. http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/medicine/research/cancer/icc.html
We hope you will support us – by making a donation and by coming out and cheering for us on the morning (the route passes St Thomas' Hospital and King's Strand Campus).
Thank you!
PS If you make a gift of £20 it will be worth £33.33 because the Government has launched a new 'matched funding' scheme to encourage people to support universities. For every £1.00 you give we can claim gift aid as usual (25p) and then an additional 33p through the government matched giving scheme, making every £1 you give worth £1.58 to King's.
