Biomedical research into M.E.is seriously underfunded. We need to do more if we are to learn how and why this cruel illness starts - how to test for it or treat it, or better still, how to cure it.

Story

The Tandem Tart Challenge.

The TTC was born in March 2016.

Before being diagnosed with M.E. in 2013, I had competed in all distances on the back of a tandem, including three 24 hour time trials. So what better way to raise funds for vital research into this devasting condition than to compete in a variety of time trials on the tandem with a different Partner each time.

I thought this challenge would run it's course but here we are in our eighth year with Partner number 82 on the horizon and a string of potential Partners on the waiting list.

The Tandem Tart Ten was held again this year on 23rd June with the ME Associations Fundraising Consultant, Tony Britton presenting the prizes as our guest of honour.

Life remains difficult though, each small achievement comes at a price but I am grateful that I continue to make progress and will never forget those dark days of being housebound.

Please help me continue raising funds for the ME Associations Ramsay Research Fund so that one day we will find a cure.

Thank you.
