In loving memory of our Baa (Grandmother) Shantaben Jinabhai
We're raising money for Parkinsons UK in loving memory of our Baa who passed away peacefully on Thursday 8th July 2021.
During her brave battle fighting Parkinsons, our Baa showed the utmost strength and courage. Despite her struggle, Baa valued her independence and remained resilient throughout the entirety of her illness, not letting anything stop her from doing whatever it was that she wanted to do. She may have lost her mobility but she never lost her smile and kind-heart.
Baa took great pride in her role as a wife, mother and grandmother and always put others before herself. She lived a life of simplicity and found great joy in spending time with her family. Her eyes would light up every time she spoke to her grandchildren over the phone or whenever they came to visit.
The amount of love she had to give and the way she felt about us should make us all feel more than just a little good. We can never forget that there is a part of Baa in each of us, something that she gave to us and asked nothing for in return. What we have inherited from her will never fade.
Prior to her illness, Baa was a child-minder, a job that she adored and fulfilled whilst caring for her five children - Dilip, Rita, Runjna, Nila and Girish. Her maternal nature made this the perfect role. In spite of her limited English, Baa welcomed children from all backgrounds into her loving arms.
The most striking thing about Baa was her ability to overcome any situation she faced. No matter how challenging it was, she never complained. Above all, Baa taught us that, if you remain calm and positive, you can overcome anything. It was lessons like these, that we will remember the rest of our lives.
Although Baa will be dearly missed, she was and remains the backbone of our family.
Sending her lots of unconditional love from - Vikesh, Jasmine, Monica, Marty, Krishan and Shaylan
