Story
As many of you already know myself and Lenny loved the big rounds. Last years challenge was the 9 fannichs which we breezed (Lenny only 3 months after a heart attack and a stent fitted) this years challenge was the 10 mamores.
On the Friday night on the way up to glen Affric, the night before Lenny passed away... he said to me on the way up that he was going to set up a just giving page for Scottish mountain rescue when we done the 10 mamores this year to raise some money for them because in his words “you never know when you might need them”
So in the summer I will take up the challenge of the big 10 in his memory like we had planned with his friends and family joining in and meeting me along the way at different points of the day.
This isn’t going to be an easy challenge. 21 miles, 3400m ascent and about 14-16 hours walking should hopefully see me at the end point taking my boots off after a long day!
Members of lennys family have also mentioned doing a few hills in his memory and we plan to all keep the 1 page to raise as much money as possible in his memory so this isn’t just a page for my challenge but instead a page for us all to raise money in lennys memory.
Anyway I’ve rambled on enough so if you’ve managed to read to here, u deserve a medal
