Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
In an attempt to make lemonade out of some bloody awful lemons I’m taking on the walking marathon this year to support Macmillan. My beautiful friend Sas was going to be doing it with us but she got her diagnosis just a few weeks after we had signed up. Even last month she was determined to be there, whether walking or cheering, but I know that she’ll be there in spirit with us now as we do the walk in her memory.
The girls I am doing this truly are the most remarkable humans and I love them all to bits. I know each of us will feel the gaping hole where Saskia would have been as we walk this huge distance.
Having lost my dad to cancer 27 years ago and then more recently our cherished Jill Harrison this disease needs to do one! Grateful to the treatment that has helped me keep my aunt and sister in law around for more years too!
I’m sure cancer has touched each and everyone of you this is your way of doing your little bit to support those it will touch and give them the support they need.
Too many good people taken too soon!
If you get chance to donate I’d be really grateful!
If you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
