Over Christmas, St Elizabeth Hospice will provide vital care for people living with progressive illness and life-limiting conditions across East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney. Sadly for some it will be their last Christmas.

Story

Let me introduce Ann. Ann is a Health Care Assistant who normally works in Day Care at the hospice and has done for nearly 19 years. However, since Day Care closed due to Coronavirus in March Ann has been seconded to work on the Inpatient Unit. She has seen and experienced many things in her time as a nurse at the hospice but has never endured the challenges quite like those in recent months due to the pandemic. For this reason, Ingleton Wood is supporting Ann and the Hospice during Woolly Pully Week, everyone will Be a Star and support Ann's work this Christmas. Normally, Christmas is all about festivities and fun here at the hospice but sadly, this Christmas wont be the same for patients due to social distancing and restricted visiting. The Hospice are all about celebrating life and putting smiles on patients faces which is what Ann finds the most rewarding, especially during the festive season.

About the charity

St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12.9m, of this 70% comes from the local community.
