Story
Alex Holland-Martin (20), and Simon Turp (17), both students from Essex (studying at South Essex College) will be attempting to break the world record for the longest radio marathon as a team on the student radio station, Infuse Radio. They will be aiming for 90 hours, and may even go a little further!
The attempt will begin at 2PM on 27th May, and is expected to finish at 7AM on the 31st May.
Both of them have years of radio experience and this will be a big opportunity for them. Simon has chosen the selected charity of Macmillan because his great grandfather was helped by them before he passed away in March of this year. The radio duo are no stranger to raising money for charity on radio, after doing an 8 1/2 hour radio show in March to raise money for Sport Relief, and raised £300 just from walking around the college collecting donations as a result of their show!
You will be able to listen to the attempt on www.infuseradio.co.uk or by going to "tunein.com" and searching for: "infuseradio".
