Today, one-in-seven people around the world will never see a qualified health worker in their lives. We are working to change that. 

THET has a vision of a world where everyone, everywhere has access to quality healthcare. We achieve this by training and educating health workers in low- and middle- income countries (LMICs) in Africa and Asia, working in partnership with volunteers from across the UK. Founded in 1988 by Professor Sir Eldryd Parry, we are the only UK Charity with this focus.

In the past ten years alone, we have reached over 100,000 health workers across 35 countries in Africa and Asia. The WHO estimates that the world will need to recruit and train an additional 13 million health workers in the decades to come. So, while we are proud of our success, we know we can and must do more.
