Story
In May this year a group of Everton employees and fanatic fans will be travelling to Peru to take part in a 5-day trek to the lost city of Machu Picchu. The trip will not be without its challenges as the team try to overcome the long days, trekking at high altitude across unforgiving terrain.
The aim is to raise money for Everton in the Community the clubs official charity, helping people all over the region to achieve their full potential.
Chris Clarke, Business Development Manager for Everton in the Community, Clare Archibald, HR Officer, Michael Joliffe, Fan Centre Advisor, Receptionist Deborah Hunter-Frackleton, Nicola Smallbones from Barclays and 2 fanatic fans Peter Shields and Mark O'Connor will trek at high altitudes for five gruelling days from Cusco, hidden deep in the Andes mountains, to the lost city of Machu Picchu.
Everton in the Community is appealing to fans for their support to help make this year’s exciting challenge the most successful yet.
All monies raised from this challenge will be invested into programmes delivered by Everton in the Community to promote health, education, social inclusion and equality of opportunity across Merseyside.
No matter how big or small, all donations will be greatly appreciated.
