Story
It has been over 6 months since the worst floods in decades swept Pakistan, but families continue to suffer as they endure the devastating consequences. Words can’t describe the destruction, devastation and desolation caused by the catastrophic floods.
Over 2.2 million people have lost their homes, and nearly 13,000 have been injured in the disaster while the heart-breaking death toll has climbed to a grim 1,739 people including 552 children.
After flood waters recede, recovery begins with home construction, infrastructure projects, and long-term care for orphans.
On the 24th January, I am travelling to Tanzania to trek Mount Kilimanjaro the highest free standing mountain in the world, standing at 5895m/19340ft.
This trek will be gruelling mentally and physically. I have made a pledge to help flood-affected survivors build their future and provide long-term aid through raising funds to build homes and ask you to support me in establishing an honourable legacy with these Sadaqah Jariyah projects
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection." (Muslim)
