Mum loved flowers, but given the choice she would always prefer to donate money to a worthwhile cause that would help others. 

Mum was passionate about the RNLI and the countless lives they save each year whilst putting their own lives at risk. The charity was also close to her heart having nearly drowned at the age of 9 when she got caught out by the tide at Selsey. This was further strengthened in later years when she gained a son-in-law who is a member of the RNLI crew in Looe. A RNLI crew member was also one of the first at the scene after Mum's accident.

In her own words.....  "I would like to pay tribute to all those men and women, boys and girls that give their time courageously and selflessly to help those in trouble at sea and along the coast".
