Elisar was our dear friend, mentor, and supporter; to many of us, he was also chosen family, as well as a big brother, beloved son, and proud husband to Lisa. He passed away on Monday, 20th July, after four years of battling cancer with, as Lisa has shared, 'bravery, humour, and his trademark blunt pragmatism.' 

Elisar could be thoughtful and quiet but just as easily command a huge arena or an esteemed audience. He was generous with his time and advice. He affected our lives so profoundly - through his guidance, example and friendship - that much of our success and our joys in the future will be indelibly marked by his influence. 

And the memories we've made with him and Lisa: long afternoons of board games, weekends running mics and panels with him at Vidfest, commentary and giggles at industry events, travels away at festivals, cuddles with Bonkers and Boo Boo, coffees and scripts, long hours on set, discovering new restaurants and endless cocktails... Elisar, we miss you so much already.
