We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Sadly, after living with Parkinson's disease for the past eight years, Howard passed away in the early hours on Sunday 6 September 2015.

Since his diagnosis, Parkinson's UK has provided much support to the whole family. Simply having access to the information about the disease early on was extremely helpful in understanding the diagnosis. Later having the opportunity to be part of local support groups and being able to get expert advice from the local Parkinson's nurse was invaluable in helping Howard and us deal with his symptoms.

Given the extent of support we have had from the charity, and the on-going research they are doing into the disease's causes and, hopefully, a cure, we are asking for contributions to the charity so they can continue with the work they do. We feel this is more in line with Howard's wishes as he was always supportive of scientific research especially in an area so personally important to him.

With our heartfelt thanks,

Penny, Simon and Bel.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
