Story
In Derek’s Memory
On the 27th March 2022 our beloved brother Derek tragically died.
Not one for recognition or ceremony, Derek had expressed a wish that should he die he did not want a funeral. In honouring that wish, we realise that leaves those fortunate to have known Derek with little opportunity to celebrate together Derek's life and his legacy of giving. Therefore, in lieu of flowers or other gestures of sympathy we ask that you please consider giving "In Derek's Memory".
We’ve set up 3 fundraising pages supporting the Samaritans, MIND and Severn Freewheelers (a charity that Derek co-founded in 2007) in the hope that any money raised may help prevent further tragic deaths, and also ensure future families do not have to go through the trauma and distress we are experiencing.
We would encourage you to donate on this page to MIND who offer information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobby government and local authorities on their behalf.
We have also set up two further fundraising pages supporting:
Severn Freewheelers EVS (Blood Bikes)

The Samaritans – suicide prevention and awareness

We welcome your choice and would encourage you to donate any amount you can afford to one, two, or all three of the above.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please consider sharing this page to help us reach our fundraising target in Derek's Memory.
