We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

As many of you who know the Archard's are aware they lost their grandfather in 2012 and since then they have made it their mission to help raise support and money for the Alzheimer's Society.

After seeing firsthand just how devastating and mentally upsetting dementia can be, we are all determined to help the Alzheimer's Society and their research towards fighting dementia.

The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people suffering from dementia. Dementia can cause dramatic mood changes, severe memory loss and communication problems.  Dementia is progressive which means that a sufferer's symptoms will get gradually worse as time passes. Although there are medicines and therapies that can be used to relieve the symptoms, there is no immediate cure.

For the last three years the Archard family have organised a music festival called Imfest in the memory of their grandfather and to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society. We hope to carry on raising awareness and funds with this walk - please donate and help us to beat this disease. We hope to help prevent families in the future from having to see firsthand the devastating effects dementia has.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
