Trotsworth Hall has hardly changed since the Scouts set up the Virginia Water group in 1952. It has poor heating, no insulation and no double glazing making it bitterly cold in the winter months. Currently, it is not accessible for children who are differently-abled and can only cater for 25 Scouts at any time, meaning the Group is having to limit numbers. The Scouts, along with
their parents and the Groups volunteer leaders are taking action to find the funds for the improvements and are looking for members of the community and local businesses to help. Debbie Foster, Group Scout Leader said: Trotsworth Hall is a well loved and well used space but simply does not meet the criteria for a modern community building, particularly one used by children on a weekly basis. Weve always made sure its a safe environment but now we need to invest so we can get it up to modern standards and, most importantly include as many children as possible from the surrounding area."
