Story
Everyone knows how much I love having long hair and it plays a huge role in my identity but I am extremely lucky and want to be able to share it, so I have made the decision to donate 50cm to the Little Princess trust. I’ll be having the chop on Friday 3rd December and I would be so grateful if you would donate as much as you can. When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, the Little Princess trust is there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity.
I will be donating the money raised to our Children’s Appeal at Ipswich Hospital where I work as a Paediatric Consultant.
Thank you so much in advance for your support.

The money from the Children's Appeal aims to create a modern, welcoming and child-friendly environment fit for the 21st century, with improved facilities for patients and their families or carers.
Patients and their families have been involved in helping to draw up the plans, which include:
•Increasing outpatient clinic rooms, with dedicated spaces allocated for specialist clinics such as diabetes, cystic fibrosis and physiotherapy
•Creating separate entrances for the outpatients and inpatients departments
•Adding multiple break-out play areas to give all children the chance to play
•Refurbishing the outside play area on the ward
•Increasing number of beds, en-suite and side rooms
•Dedicated teenage / young person spaces will be created
•A two-bed high dependency area will be created
•More space will be provided in bays for specialist equipment and so that parents can stay with their children
•A separate dining area will be introduced so that patients can eat away from others who may be nil by mouth or have an eating disorder
