I am raising money for Refugee Action, at a time when the plight of refugees has never been more visible to the world, and the numbers of people forced to flee their homes has doubled in the last ten years.

Today, there are more than 82 million people across the world who have been forcibly displaced from their homes because of war, persecution, and natural disasters. Over 26 million of these are refugees searching for a new home. Each year, thousands of people risk their lives travelling to a place of safety.

Refugee Action works to support refugees and asylum seekers when they arrive in the UK, in applying for asylum, and assisting people with employment, housing, language tuition, and healthcare. All money raised goes towards supporting people in rebuilding their lives here.
