Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the middle of the night on 12th November 2022 I received a call that changed everything. My beautiful big sister was missing, with all signs being that she had taken her own life.  

A search of the river Severn was required and SARA teams from Sharpness to Newport were there. These voluntary teams are amazing. To know that, in very difficult circumstances, someone was searching for Emily meant absolutely everything. As we watched from land, completely helpless, these men and women used their specialist knowledge to do their absolute best for Emily. 

The saddest thing is this is not a one off for them. They are regularly called out to search for vulnerable missing people, with varying outcomes.

My good friends Sarah Branfield, Molly Carter and I are planning to walk 53kms of the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge from Cirencester to Wotton-Under-Edge for the Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA). 

We have no target for fundraising, just whatever people feel they might be able to give. If it supports SARA to save even one life, that’s one less family that has to go through this torture.
