Hey! I'm Imo and welcome to my CCFS fundraising page :) I am modelling this year and to raise money I'm going to be covering the 587.4km distance from Collingwood to Calais over 44 days starting Sunday 1st May. 

This basically means I will have to cover at least 13.5km every single day- whether this be walking/ swimming/ cycling/ running. Every week I will be doing a "themed" event where the largest donator from the week can suggest a theme for me - and any other friends joining my treks- to flaunt ourselves around Durham in - get creative !! 

All proceeds will go to Durham City of Sanctuary, which Collingwood Charity Fashion Show are raising funds for this year. Their organisation provides vital support for asylum seekers in the North East, helping them integrate into local communities through promoting the message of welcome and inclusion. 

I am really passionate about the global refugee crisis we face currently and wanted my fundraising to connect with the cause. This time last year during my gap year I volunteered for Refugee Community Kitchen in Calais and since have been determined to spread awareness about the situation for refugees not just in Calais, but elsewhere in the world. It is an overlooked and seriously misunderstood issue - and this is what we need to change. They are humans, just like you and me - exclusion is not the answer. 

So please donate! Even the smallest amount of money can go a long way :)
