Story

The Altumate Experience is back for 2022 with the Tri-Altum Experience.

The Altumate Experience is an opportunity for our people to raise money for amazing charities. The pandemic meant we took a little hiatus, but we are back with a bang for 2022 and have 22 of our team taking on the Tri-Altum Experience for Street Child's Ukraine Appeal.

Starting in Bath we will set off on a 95-mile cycle to Windsor, where we rest our legs for the night before jumping in a kayak the next morning to kayak 20 miles down to Teddington. Finally on the third day our team will take the last stretch to Central London by foot, completing either a half or full marathon!

I will personally be partaking in the cycle and kayak but not the marathon as my knees will not allow it unfortunately. However, a number of others across the team will be doing all 3 activities. Anyone who knows me knows I am not the most sporty of individuals so this is a real task I am undertaking and wouldn't be able to do it if it weren't for the motivated team we have here.

We are putting themselves through all of this to raise as much money as possible for our charity partner, Street Child’s Ukraine Appeal. We have all been shocked and saddened by the war escalating in Ukraine and want to do something to help. Street Child are ensuring 100% of donations raised through their Ukraine Appeal are going to local on the ground charities that will be able to have an immediate impact.

This epic adventure will push our team to their limits and beyond, but your donations will help keep them going and more importantly make a huge difference to people suffering from a horrific war. Please donate what you can and make sure to leave us a motivational message to look back on!

About the Charity

Street Child believes that local organisations know best, and have the most trusted relationships with the people they serve. Local NGOs in Ukraine as well as in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova are leading an incredible humanitarian response to meet the most basic needs of children and their families. Street Child is here to support them.

Through our Ukraine Crisis Appeal, we are giving 100% of donations to vetted local partners to provide for basic needs, such as groceries, warm clothes, bedding, baby items and hygiene supplies. Our focus is on financial donations so that our NGO partners can procure items locally and immediately, and remain responsive to any changes in the needs of the people they are helping.
