Story
We’re Public Counsel’s Immigrants’ Rights Project (IRP), and this Giving Tuesday we are honored to raise funds to support immigrants. Public Counsel's IRP fights for a world where all (im)migrants live with dignity, power, and opportunity. The project represents asylum-seekers, unaccompanied children, survivors of trafficking and other violent crimes eligible for special visas, veterans who have been unjustly deported, and immigrants detained by ICE in Southern California.
In recent years, IRP has been on the frontlines responding to the harmful policies of the former Administration – mobilizing at LAX in response to the Travel Ban, holding emergency legal clinics to support DACA recipients, suing on behalf of immigrant children to demand protections guaranteed under the law, and assisting families who were torn apart by the family separation policy.
These past years have been devastating for the immigrant community but there is now hope. We are at a critical moment to transform this hope for justice into reality, and we need your help to sustain our efforts. If you would like to donate, you can do so by using the 'Give Now' button. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Every dollar counts!
