Story
...... to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.....For those who don't already know, Marie Curie Cancer Care are an incredibly amazing charity. Marie Curie nurses work in the community to provide end-of-life care for patients in their own home. Just a few months ago my brother in law, Gabriel, better known as Cook, lost his battle with cancer. Thanks to the fantastic support provided by the Marie Curie nurses Cook was granted his wish of spending his last weeks and days in his own home, in his own surroundings with his loving family by his side. The presence of the Marie Curie nurses, with their personal and considerate approach, meant Cook was treated with dignity to the very last moment. The comfort that the Marie Curie nurses brought to Cook's wife and daughters is completely priceless. We live in a time were there are limitless worthy charities looking for donations and support. Unfortunately, we also live in a time were there are few people who can say they don't know someone who has been affected by cancer. I would urge you to dig deep into the fluffy corners of your pockets and down the back of the sofa and donate anything you can to this cause. the 12th of June myself and 2 other very motivated, enthusiastic and hilarious characters, Sarah and Frenchie will attempt to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge. This involves scaling the highest mountain in England, Scotland and wales in 24hours.Ben Nevis, in Scotland: 1344mSnowdon, in Wales: 1085m
Scafell Pike, in England: 978m
For Sarah, Frenchie and I this is a massive challenge which we are currently doing a bit of training for...we will try to keep you up to date with how the trainings going!!
